Congratulations on becoming part of Shanghai University's Class of 2026! We are excited to welcome you to this new chapter of your academic journey. Below, you will find important information regarding the registration and enrollment process.
1. Registration and Arrival Arrangements
Registration consists of two stages: online pre-registration and formal onsite registration.
1) Online Pre-registration
This step allows students to reserve on-campus housing and book airport pickup services.

Open Dates: July 15, 2026 - September 19, 2026
2) Formal Onsite Registration
Method: Offline registration on campus
Dates: September 6, 2026 (Sunday) and September 7, 2026 (Monday)
Locations: Please register at the campus corresponding to the registration location as indicated on your admission notice.
Ø Baoshan Campus: V Building (close to Shanming Canteen), International Education College, No. 716 Jinqiu Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai (North Gate)
Ø Yanchang Campus: Xinyuan Building, International Education College, No. 149 Yanchang Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai (near the school hospital)
Ø Jiading Campus: Wende Building, No. 20 Chengzhong Road, Jiading District, Shanghai.
Important Notes:
u Please register at the campus corresponding to the registration location as indicated on your admission notice. Cross-campus registration is not recommended.
u If you are unable to register on time due to special circumstances, please inform the university in advance. Failure to do so and not registering within two weeks after the deadline (after September 21) will result in automatic withdrawal and cancellation of your admission.
2. Formal Registration Process and Required Materials
Step 1: Personal Information Confirmation Online
All freshmen must first log in to the New International Degree Students Registration System to confirm their personal and academic information.

Open Dates: August 19, 2026 (00:00) - October 30, 2026 (24:00) (Beijing Time)
u Important: The registration system requires access through the campus network.
Materials Required for Registration:
① Copy of admission notice
② Copy of JW202/JW201 form
③ Passport information page and visa page
④ Proof of payment (if there are multiple payment receipts for application fee and tuition, please combine them into one PDF file before uploading)
⑤ Temporary accommodation registration form for foreigners or on-campus accommodation registration form
⑥ Original and copy of the highest academic certificate, transcript, and language proficiency certificate (consistent with the online application system)
⑦ Insurance certificate
⑧ Signed original of the New International Students Notice
⑨ Signed original of the Scholarship Student Notice (for scholarship recipients only)
⑩ CSCA Score Report (for undergraduate students only).
Step 2: Admission Qualification Review
1) The International Student Admissions Office will review the materials to ensure they are complete and consistent with the online application system. Any fraudulent behavior will result in the cancellation of admission.
2) The Finance Department will confirm the student's payment status.
3) The counselor will review the student's information, scholarship type and number (for CSC and CIS students), and confirm the registration status. Graduate students will be notified to report to their respective schools.
4) The Visa coordinator will confirm insurance purchase and issue a visa application letter. *Students at the Baoshan Campus must complete a physical examination within 10 days and submit a physical examination report to apply for a residence permit at Exit and Entry Administration. Students at the Yanchang and Jiading Campuses can pick up the visa application letter at the Baoshan Campus Service Center after completing the physical examination.
3. Other Important Matters
1) Admission Materials
Since 2024, Shanghai University no longer mails paper admission materials. Please download the sealed copies of the admission notice and the Application Form for Foreigners to Study in China (JW202/JW201) from the email you used for the application to apply for an X visa and complete your entry procedures.
2) Accommodation Reservation
l On-campus Housing: Students who have been officially admitted and have paid the tuition fee in advance through the online application system can book on-campus housing through the pre-registration system (https://apply.applyforshu.com/index.html#/user/login) within the specified period.
l Off-campus Housing: Due to limited rooms in the student apartments, Shanghai University cannot guarantee on-campus housing for all students. Students who have not reserved or whose reservation was unsuccessful should find safe and reliable rental housing or hotels before departure.
3) Airport Pickup Reservation
Shanghai University provides free and paid pickup services at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Please book the pickup service through the pre-registration system (https://apply.applyforshu.com/index.html#/user/login) at least 72 hours (3 working days) before your flight departure. Late bookings will not be arranged.

September 5: 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM
September 6: 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Ø Paid Pickup
For other time slots, students are responsible for the pickup cost. The fee is CNY 500-600 per person.
After submitting the booking, you will receive a confirmation email with pickup location information. Please follow the instructions to go to the designated meeting point (T1 Terminal, Gate 10, or Starbucks near T2 Terminal). If the booking is unsuccessful, please use public transportation or a taxi to your destination. Please refer to "Transportation to Shanghai University" for more details.
*Flight Changes: Please inform your program coordinator by phone or email at least 24 hours before your flight departure if there are any changes to your flight.
4. Tuition Payment
All self-funded students must complete tuition payment before 24:00 (Beijing Time) on September 6, 2026. Please bring all payment receipts (including application fee, prepaid tuition, and remaining tuition) for verification upon registration.

5. Insurance
All freshmen (including scholarship and self-funded students) must purchase insurance before arriving at the university and keep the insurance certificate. Please log in to the website (http://www.lxbx.net) (recommended to log in after August 10) to purchase insurance. For details, please refer to the attached “Insurance Payment Method for International Students.”
6. Visa Replacement
International students entering China with an X1 visa must apply for a study residence permit within 30 days after entry. The International Student Service Center will provide visa consultation and assistance services for students who complete the formal registration.
7. Physical Examination
1) Pre-arrival: International students must undergo a physical examination abroad in accordance with the contents of the "Health Examination Record for Foreigners."
2) Upon Arrival: International students can make appointments individually and go to the Shanghai International Travel Health Care Center for a physical examination or verification with their admission notice, "Health Examination Application Form," and other materials. The cost of the physical examination is self-paid. The International Student Service Center provides group appointment services, and the university will arrange vehicles to take students to the examination center at designated times. Students can consult their international student counselors for specific arrangements after completing the formal registration.

*Materials and fees required for the physical examination are subject to the latest information published by the hospital.
3) Unqualified Results: Students with unqualified physical examination results must leave China immediately in accordance with relevant regulations.
8. Course Selection and Teaching Arrangements
Information about course selection and teaching arrangements for the fall semester will be notified separately after registration.
9. Campus Entry
There is no need to submit an entry application. Students can enter the campus directly with their passport and admission notice.
