一、Program Introduction

Shanghai University is a comprehensive University featured in China’s national Double First-Class Initiative and the 211 Project. With over six decades of experience educating international students, it offers a highly globalized campus environment, distinguished faculty, a full spectrum of academic disciplines, and a well-established support system for international learners.

The Pre-University program is a non-degree undergraduate preparatory Program for International Students offered by the College of International Education of Shanghai University. This program boosts international students’ Chinese competence and builds solid foundations in science and engineering, Humanities, Economics & Management. It helps students meet Chinese University undergraduate admission standards and transition smoothly into Shanghai University’s undergraduate studies.

三、Online Application

（一）Application Period：

September 30, 2026 to December 30, 2026

（二）Eligibility

1.High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

2. Non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary foreign passport, in compliance with the relevant regulations of the Chinese Ministry of Education, including the “Document No.12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC” and etc.

3. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, have no criminal record, and satisfy the medical examination standards for international students in China.

4. Applicants must between 16 and 24 years old, inclusive.

5. Generally, applicants should hold an HSK Level 3 over 180 score or above, or equivalent.

*Note: Applicants who have not yet met the language requirement but intend to pursue Pre-University studies may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
